And the winner is …

The winner of our competition to win a brand new BlackBerry 8520® was Jacqueline Fung of Oldham, Lancashire. Congratulations to Jacqueline who beat over 1,500 of you to the top prize. Well done also to the 20 runners-up who each received a copy of the book.

Our survey says …

We thought you might find the results of the survey completed to enter the competition intersting - so here they are:

Perhaps surprisingly, only 9% of you have fired off a hasty email or text which damaged your career or reputation. However of those that did, the most common problem was sending email/messages to the wrong person – for example Jennifer from Aberdeenshire, who sent a not so nice email to a colleague about her boss, which was indeed sent to the boss by accident. Many more of our respondees lost partners when their office flirting was forwarded to their partner by mistake, and some lost even their jobs when hitting that reply button too hastily.

Also of concern is that over 80% of respondents texted and/or checked email in the bedroom and that 35% felt their mobile phone/device was controlling them.

Get your hands on a copy of the book and follow our hero Jack Logan through similar situations in his working life – and like him, learn the importance of relationships, communication, and perspective; resulting in personal growth, and ultimately greater success at work.
