About the Author
David has worked in the field of people & organisational development for over two decades, gathering his experience in a number of organisations and sectors, spanning from retail to digital media to financial services.

In 2009, David founded Beyond the Dots, a boutique people & organisation development consultancy – focussed on developing pragmatic, impactful, and creative solutions for organisations that want to get the best out of their people.

Collecting experience from a number of sectors, as well as gaining important international experience through living and working in the United States, David has a wealth of experience and knowledge in the fields of leadership development, coaching & feedback, team dynamics, and the importance of strategic talent management. He has an intuitive understanding of the dynamics of the workplace, particularly the impact that relationships, cultures, and politics have on the effectiveness of individuals. Throughout his career he has worked with individuals and teams who want to understand their potential derailers, and the action that they can take in order to overcome these, thus maximising their impact and effectiveness. To support this work, David is qualified in a number of psychometric and team leadership tools, including MBTI, SDI, Insights, and CCL Benchmarks.

David has brought the significant knowledge and experience he has garnered over the past two decades to bear with the publication of his first two books, Career Helium, and Trust Unwrapped. The Magic BlackBerry® is his third book. Just for fun, David has also appeared on Channel 4’s Big Brother’s Little Brother as the team building expert.

David is renowned for his ability as a natural and engaging facilitator. He possesses the rare gift of being able to quickly build rapport with groups and individuals, due largely to his genuine desire to understand and enable others. He understands the art of communication, and that the right message, coupled with the right delivery, has the power to engage, bind, and inspire.
